Newsletter #57 – March 7, 2012 - www.thelovealliance.net
If you haven’t seen, we launched our new campaign “Give Shoes. Give Love.” last month. “Give Shoes. Give Love.” is a micro-giving campaign of The Love Alliance and Soles4Souls where just $7 a month will provide 7 pairs of shoes to children in need. When you signup for the program, you receive a FREE Love Alliance t-shirt that was designed by us exclusively for this campaign.
Our goal is to provide shoes for as many children as possible. After less than two weeks from the official launch, we have already provided almost 2,500 pairs of shoes through the campaign. We need your help to provide even more. Please check out the video below and then visit and signup at the site: www.giveshoesgivelove.com
Our friend Albert Martinez has released his first book An Amalgamation, Volume 1. Albert is a self-described "activist for love" who will be donating half of the book's digital sales to The Love Alliance. Visit Albert's site to view a sample of the book as well as purchase the book to help support independent art and The Love Alliance. http://bit.ly/y9khfv

When asked how to help the environment the usual suspects are probably thought of: recycling, litter clean ups, reducing our water intake, etc. But have you ever thought of going meatless to help the environment?
For this month’s action project we will be going meatless one day a week. We eat a lot of meat.. on average ½ lb a day. Did you know that meat causes more emissions than all transportation combined (nearly 1/5 of all man made emissions)? Beef production in particular uses 100 times the water than most vegetables do - It takes 2500 gallons of water for 1lb of meat! By choosing to go meatless even one day a week you will reduce emissions, and conserve approximately 1250 gallons of water that day. Not to mention the health benefits, as well as financial savings. Will you join us this month by going meatless one day a week to benefit the environment?
