Q. WHAT IS THE LOVE ALLIANCE?
A. The Love Alliance (T.L.A.) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that
works to educate
individuals on various issues of social injustice such as world
poverty, clean water, the AIDS epidemic, human trafficking,
homelessness, the environment, and oppression. The organization then
takes this knowledge and puts it to work through monthly action
projects, community groups, events and partnerships.
It is The Love Alliance's hope that few voices will turn into many. That these voices can band together to change the atrocities of the world.
Q. WHAT IS SOCIAL JUSTICE?
A. Social justice is the right and fair treatment of people throughout society. When treatment, or sometimes the lack there of, is considered unfair it is considered to be a social injustice. It is our goal to bring to light issues of social injustice in the world that we as an alliance of people we can bring justice to them.
Q. WHERE DOES THE MONEY FROM PRODUCT SALES AND DONATIONS GO?
A. 100% of sales and donations goes back into the non-profit organization. By donating and buying merchandise from The Love Alliance you are doing one of two things:
1. Helping fund the efforts against injustice in the world. 25% of merchandise profits go to addressing specific needs concerning social justice. I.E. when you buy a shirt representing the social injustice of poverty, 25% of the proceeds from that item will go towards world poverty relief.
2. Helping ensure that The Love Alliance can continue to operate. This money will help pay for the products found in the webstore and other overhead costs. It is our goal to keep operation costs as low as possible in order that every dollar brought in will be the most effective it can be.

Here is a good place to note that merchandise sales are not our organizations main focus. While these sales help provide operations funding and allow us to give back to other organizations who are also making a difference, our main goal still remains to educate individuals on social justice issues and to help them get practically involved in making a difference towards these issues.
Q. HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
A. These issues can seem so big, but we believe there are very practical ways that both individuals and groups can work toward ending these injustices. On our Education pages and on the Action page of this website there are ways that everyone can get involved to tangibly make a difference towards each specific issue.
There are also many ways you can help spread the word about The Love Alliance.
• Buy and distribute flyers from our webstore.
• Buy and wear a shirt from our webstore.
• Put a banner on your webpage.
• Put The Love Alliance in your top friends on myspace/virb.
• Post about The Love Alliance on message boards.
• Start a "The Love Alliance" group at your school, church etc. (If interested click here)

Q. CAN I START A LOVE ALLIANCE GROUP IN MY AREA?
A. Absolutely. There are Love Alliance groups that have started all over the country and now the world. These groups are spreading the word in their communities about The Love Alliance and social justice issues. Our groups participate in our monthly action projects and other projects within their community that they come up with. If you would like to start a “Love Alliance” group in your area, fill out the group application here.
Q. I AM IN A BAND, IS THERE ANYTHING WE CAN DO TO SUPPORT THE LOVE ALLIANCE?
A. We would love your band’s support. We at The Love Alliance strongly believe in individuals using their talents and abilities to make a difference towards social injustice. There are a few ways you as a band can help us. You can put a banner on your website &/or myspace/virb page, you can put us in your top friends on myspace/virb, and you can hold a benefit show. If you are interested in putting together a benefit show email action@thelovealliance.net and we can help you get started. You can promote The Love Alliance and the issues we represent from stage. We have found this to be very effective as your fans want to listen to what you have to say. Beyond that we would say feel free to be creative as to any other ways you as a band can support The Love Alliance.

Q. ARE MY DONATIONS TAX DEDUCTIBLE?
A. Absolutely. The Love Alliance is a government regulated 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations made to our organization are tax deductible.
Q. CAN I DONATE SPECIFICALLY TOWARDS PRINTING AND DISTRIBUTING MORE EDUCATIONAL FLYERS?
A. Our goal is to distribute 100,000+ educational flyers every year. If you would like to help us reach and hopefully surpass this goal you can sponsor a full order of informational flyers to be printed. A tax-deductible donation of only $750 will pay for 20,000 flyers to be printed. In addition, every $10 donated will provide for 1000 flyers to be shipped out to groups, schools, communities etc. Simply make a note at the time of donation that you would like your donation to go towards printing flyers.

Q. HOW DO I GET SOMEONE FROM THE LOVE ALLIANCE TO COME SPEAK FOR MY YOUTH GROUP, SCHOOL, CHURCH ETC.?
A. Currently we are only able to speak when the expenses to bring us in are covered.
If you are someone who attends a group and want to bring us in to speak, talk with someone in leadership who has the authority to bring us in and ask them to email us if they are interested.
